MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITION
On January 24, 1996, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Laura at 8 01
p m Present: Gerald D Taylor, Brian Duggan, Fernon P Feenstra, Maureen Miller
Brosnan, Val Vandersloot, Michael P McGee and Joe Laura Absent: None
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City
Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date
to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section
4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M S.A
Section 5.2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance
1) Petition 95-9-6-7 submitted b the City Planning Commission,
pursuant to CR 376-95, to determine whether to amend
Section 2 10 of the Zoning Ordinance so as to increase the
size of detached garages on lots 1/2 acre or more in area, the
City Planning Commission in its resolution 10-207-95 having
recommended to the City Council that Petition 95-9-6-7 be denied
2) Petition 95-9-6-8 submitted by the City Planning Commission,
pursuant to CR 377-95, to determine whether to amend Section
18 50H of the Zoning Ordinance with respect to commercial wall
signs on corner lots, the City Planning Commission in its resolution
10-208-95 having recommended to the City Council that Petition
95-9-6-8 be approved
3) Petition 95-9-6-9 submitted by the City Planning Commission to
determine whether to amend Section 18 50D of the Zoning
Ordinance regarding political signs, the City Planning Commission
in its resolution 10-209-95 having recommended to the City Council
that Petition 95-9-67-9 be approved
There were approximately two (2) persons present.

Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 8 38 p m , January 24, 1996
