MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PETITION 95-12-2-35
(WAIVER USE)
On April 3, 1996, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council
at 8 18 p m Present: Michael P McGee, Gerald D Taylor, Brian Duggan, Fernon P
Feenstra, Maureen Miller Brosnan, Val Vandersloot and Joe Laura Absent: None
The President stated that pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, and likewise pursuant to Notice of Public
Hearing duly published and sent to property owners in accordance with said Ordinance
No 543, the City Council is opening a public hearing relative to Petition 95-12-2-35 by
West Livonia Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses requesting waiver use approval to
construct a church on property located on the west side of Merriman Road between
Norfolk Avenue and Fairfax in the N E. 1/4 of Section 3
There were approximately 80 people present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 9 45 p m , April 3, 1995
