MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITION
On September 9, 1996, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Laura at
8 01 p m Present. Maureen Miller Brosnan, Val Vandersloot, Michael P McGee,
Gerald D Taylor, Brian Duggan, Fernon P Feenstra, and Joe Laura Absent: None
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City
Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date
to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section
4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M S.A
Section 5.2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance
1 Petition 96-5-1-8 by Richard W Bame requesting to rezone
property located on the west side of Beatrice Avenue between
Eight Mile Road and Morlock Avenue in the N E 1/4 of Section 2
from M-1 to R-2 (Light Manufacturing to One Family Residential -
60' x 120' Lots)
2 Petition 96-5-1-9 by Leo Soave requesting to rezone property
located on the west side of Gill Road between Northland Drive
and Bretton Drive in the S W 1/4 of Section 4 from RUFB to
R-3 (Rural Urban Farm - 1/2 Acre Lots) to One Family Residential
-- 80' x 120' Lots)
3 Petition 96-5-1-10 by John DelSignore requesting to rezone
property located north of Schoolcraft Road between Eckles Road
and the 1-96 Expressway in the S W 1/4 of Section 19 from R-1
to C-2 (One Family Residential - 60' x 120' Lots to General Business
There was one (1) person present in the audience
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 8 16 p m , September 9, 1996
