HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1997-03-24 PETITION 1996-12-01-27 30083 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REZONING On March 24, 1997, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Laura at 8'00 p m. Present: Val Vandersloot, Michael P McGee, Gerald D Taylor, Brian Duggan, Fernon P Feenstra, Maureen Miller Brosnan and Joe Laura Absent: None Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M S.A. Section 5.2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance Petition 96-12-1-27, submitted by Andrew Ilich, for a change of zoning of property located on the north side of Plymouth Road between Farmington and Stark Roads in the S E. 1/4 of Section 28, from RUF to C-2 (Rural Urban Farm - 1/2 Acre Lots to General Business) the City Planning Comission in its resolution 1-3-97 having recommended to the City Council that Petition 96-12-1-27 be denied Petition 96-12-1-28, submitted by Leo Soave, for a change of zoning of property located on the west side of Sunset Boulevard, north of Fargo Avenue in the N W 1/4 of Section 2, from RUFA to R-2A (Rural Urban Farm - 1/2 Acre Lots to One Family Residential - 70' x 120' Lots) the City Planning Commission in its resolution 1-4-97 having recommended to the City Council that Petition 96-12-1- 28 be approved. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
