MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITION
On February 10, 1997, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Laura at
8 07 p m. Present: Brian Duggan, Fernon P Feenstra, Maureen Miller Brosnan, Val
Vandersloot, Michael P McGee, Gerald D Taylor, and Joe Laura Absent: None
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City
Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date
to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section
4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act(M.S.A.
Section 5.2934, M C L.A 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance.
1 Petition 96-7-1-15 by the City Planning Commission, pursuant
to CR 398-96, proposing to rezone property located at 19810
and 19730 Farmington Road in the West 1/2 of Section 3
from OS and R-3A to R-C or R-9 (Office Services and One
Family Residential - 80'x 120' Lots to Condominium Residential
or Housing for Elderly),
2 Petition 96-11-1-23 by Stuart Frankel, c/o Newburgh Plaza,
requesting to rezone property located on the south side of
Six Mile between Newburgh Road and Fitzgerald Avenue in
the N W 1/4 of Section 17 from OS to AG, P and C-2
(Office Services to General Agriculture, Parking and General
Business),
3. Petition 96-10-6-7 by the City Planning Commission, pursuant
to CR 889-96, to determine whether or not to amend Section 18 42
of Zoning Ordinance No 543 to regulate the installation of
cellular/communication towers, antennas and satellite dishes
There were 35 persons present in the audience
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 9 04 p m , February 10, 1997
