MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REZONING
On April 23, 1997, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Laura at 7.03
p m Present: Brian Duggan, Maureen Miller Brosnan, Val Vandersloot and Joe Laura
Absent: Gerald D Taylor, Fernon P Feenstra and Michael P McGee
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City
Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date
to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section
4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A.
Section 5.2934, M.0 L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance
Petition 97-1-1-1 by Danny Veri requesting to rezone property located
on the east side of Newburgh Road, south of Ann Arbor Trail, in the
S W 1/4 of Section 32 from RUF to R-1 (Rural Urban Farm - 1/2 Acre
Lots to One Family Residential - 60' x 120' Lots)
Petition 96-11-6-8by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to
CR 906-96, to determine whether or not to amend Article XXXI,
Section 31 03 of Zoning Ordinance No 543, as amended, so as
to prohibit overnight camping in NP (Nature Preserves) zoning
district.
Petition 96-12-6-9 by the City Planning Commission to determine
whether or not to amend Zoning Ordinance No 543, as amended,
regarding site condominium developments

Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 10 p m., April 23, 1997
