HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1998-02-23 PETITION 1997-09-01-17 30764 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS On February 23, 1998, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Engebretson at 8 05 p m. Present: Maureen Miller Brosnan, Val Vandersloot, Brian Duggan and Jack Engebretson Absent: John Walsh and Joe Laura. Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance have been fulfilled President Engebretson stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934, M.0 L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relevant to request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance Petition 97-9-1-17 by Stanley and Antonina Kuzon requesting to rezone property located on the south side of Clarita Avenue between Middlebelt Road and Melvin Avenue in the N E. 1/4 of Section 11 from R-5 to R-1 (One Family Residential - 100' x 150' Lots to One Family Residential - 60' x 120' Lots) Petition 97-11-1-19 by Manor Care Health Services, Inc. requesting to rezone property located on the north side of Seven Mile, east of Mayfield, in the S W 1/4 of Section 3 from R-3A to R-9 (One Family Residential - 80' x 120' Lots to Housing for Elderly) Petition 97-11-1-20 by Steven and Pamela Pokomicki, Sonja Styles, Robert M Carter and Paul W Cox requesting to rezone property located on the west side of Oporto between Morlock and Norfolk in the N E. 1/4 of Section 2 from RUFA to R-2 (Rural Urban Farm - 1/2 Acre Lots to One Family Residential - 70' x 120' Lots) 30765 2 Iwo Petition 97-11-6-7 by the City Planning Commission to determine whether or not to amend Article IX (OS District Regulations) and Article XXVI (P 0 District Regulations) of Zoning Ordinance No 543, as amended, to provide for fitness centers/health clubs as waiver uses. There were 48 persons present. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
