MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REZONING
On January 6, 1999, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Engebretson at
7 00 p m Present: Joe Laura, Maureen Miller Brosnan, Val Vandersloot, John Pastor,
Brian Duggan, and Jack Engebretson Absent: John Walsh (ill)
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City
Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date
to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section
4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the City Zoning Act (MSA
Section 5 2934, MCLA 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, as amended,
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding
a public hearing relative to rezoning requests
Petition 98-7-1-12, submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant
to Council Resolution 134-98, for a change of zoning of property located
east of Stark Road between Orangelawn and Richland Avenues in the
N E. %of Section 33, from RUE to R-1 (Rural Urban Farm to One Family
Residential —60' x 120' Lots)
Petition 98-8-1-17, submitted by RD Management on behalf of Second
Mount Clemens Corporation, for a change of zoning of property located
on the north side of Five Mile Road between Levan Road and Williams
Avenue in the S W 1/4 of Section 17, from OS to C-1 (Office Services to
Local Business)
There were approximately 33 persons present on these petitions
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was adjourned at 7 22 p m , January 6, 1999
