MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REQUEST TO DETERMINE
WHETHER OR NOT TO AMEND SECTIONS 2.08, 4.02 AND 4.03
OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE SO AS TO SET FORTH ZONING
REQUIREMENTS FOR FAMILY (1 TO 6 CHILDREN) AND
GROUP (7 TO 12 CHILDREN) DAY-CARE HOMES IN
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS. (CR 302-99)
On June 28, 1999, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Engebretson at
7 03 p.m. Present: Joe Laura, Maureen Miller Brosnan, John Pastor, Brian Duggan and
Jack Engebretson. Absent: John Walsh and Val Vandersloot.
President Engebretson stated that this was a public hearing on the question of
L whether or not this City Council should amend Sections 2 08, 4 02 and 4 03 of the
Zoning Ordinance so as to set forth zoning requirements for family (1 to 6 children) and
group (7 to 12 children) day-care homes in residential districts. (CR 302-99)
There were sixty-eight (68) persons present in the audience on this matter
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 10.21 p.m , Monday, June 28, 1999
