MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING RELATIVE TO A PROPOSED SPECIAL
ASSESSMENT STREET IMPROVEMENT OF NORFOLK AVENUE FROM 150
FEET WEST OF MELVIN AVENUE TO OPORTO AVENUE AND OPORTO
AVENUE FROM NORFOLK AVENUE TO 400 FEET NORTH OF NORFOLK
AVENUE IN THE NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 2.
On May 10, 1999, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Engebretson at
7 00 p.m Present: John Walsh, John Pastor, Brian Duggan, Joe Laura and Jack
Engebretson Absent: Val Vandersloot and Maureen Miller-Brosnan
The President stated that this was a public hearing on the question of whether
this City Council should determine the necessity for the proposed special assessment
street improvement of Norfolk Avenue from 150 feet West of Melvin Avenue to Oporto
Avenue and Oporto Avenue from Norfolk Avenue to 400 feet North of Norfolk Avenue in
Lthe Northeast % of Section 2, City of Livonia, pursuant to Chapter 08 of Title 3 of the
Livonia Code of Ordinances, as amended, entitled "Special Assessment Procedure
Ordinance"
There were five (5) persons present on these matters.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 53 p m , Monday, May 10, 1999
This meeting was then reopened at 9.09 p m and completed at 9'29 p m
