MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REZONING PETITIONS
On November 17, 1999, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Engebretson at
7 01 p m. Present: Joe Laura, Maureen Miller Brosnan, Brian Duggan and Jack
Engebretson Absent: John J Walsh, Val Vandersloot and John Pastor
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City
Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen(15) days prior to the hearing date to
those persons affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance
No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
President Engebretson stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act
(M S.A. Section 5 2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No
543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is
holding a public hearing to determine whether or not to amend Section 18 17 of Zoning
Ordinance No 543 for the purpose of granting a change in zoning to C-2 (General
Business) for the following
PETITION 99-6-1-10 by T Rogvoy Associates, on behalf of Millenium
Park, to rezone property located on the south side of Schoolcraft Road
east of Middlebelt in the north 1/2 of Section 25 from M-2 to C-2 (General
Manufacturing to General Business)
PETITION 99-8-1-12 by Bill Brown Ford to rezone property located on the
north side of Plymouth Road east of Sears Drive between Middlebelt and
Merriman Roads in the southeast % of Section 26 from M-1 to C-2 (Light
Manufacturing to General Business)
There were five (5) persons present on these matters
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
