MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING RE PETITION 99-10-1-18, BY WARD
EVANGELICAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, ON BEHALF OF PHOENIX LAND
DEVELOPMENT REQUESTING TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED
ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF SIX MILE AND
FARMINGTON ROADS BETWEEN BLOOMFIELD DRIVE AND SIX MILE
ROAD FROM RUF TO C-1 AND R-811 (Rural Urban Farm — 1/2 acre lots to
Local Business and High Rise Multiple Family Residential — 8 stories)
On January 10, 1999, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Brosnan at 7 36
p m Present: Val Vandersloot, John Pastor, Joe Laura, Jack Engebretson and
Maureen Miller Brosnan Absent: John J Walsh and Brian Duggan
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City
Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen(15) days prior to the hearing date to
those persons affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance
No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
President Brosnan stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act
(M S.A. Section 5 2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No
543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is
holding a public hearing to determine whether or not to amend Section 18 17 of Zoning
Ordinance No 543 for the purpose of granting a change in zoning for the following
PETITION 99-10-1-18 by Ward Evangelical Presbyterian Church on behalf
of Phoenix Land Development requesting to rezone property located on
the southeast corner of the intersection of Six Mile Road and Farmington
Road between Bloomfield Drive and Six Mile Road in the Northwest 'A of
Section 15 from RUF to C-1 and R-811 (Rural Urban Farm -- '/2 acre lots to
Local Business and High Rise Multiple Family Residential -- 8 stories)

There were eighty-four (84) persons present on these matters
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
L by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared close t 10 43 p m , Monday, January 10, 2000
