PUBLIC HEARING RE PROPOSED SINGLE LOT ASSESSMENTS IN
CONNECTION WITH THE INSTALLATION OF SIDEWALKS ON BOTH
SIDES OF MERRIMAN ROAD FROM SEVEN MILE ROAD TO EIGHT
MILE ROAD, WHICH SIDEWALK ABUTS A ROAD WHICH IS
MAINTAINED BY THE STATE OF MICHIGAN OR COUNTY OF WAYNE
AND IS PROPOSED TO BE OVER ONE-HALF MILE IN LENGTH AND
WOULD ABUT MORE THAN 10 LOTS OR PREMISES.
On September 24, 2001, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Councilmember
Brosnan at 7.00 p m. Present: John Pastor[7 12 p m.], Brian Duggan, Joe Laura, Jack
Engebretson and Maureen Miller Brosnan. Absent: Val Vandersloot and John Walsh.
Council President Brosnan stated that this was a public hearing on the question
of whether this City Council should approve the proposed Single Lot Assessments in
connection with the installation of sidewalks on both sides of Merriman Road from Seven
Mile Road to Eight Mile Road, which sidewalk abuts a road which is maintained by the
State of Michigan or County of Wayne and is proposed to be over one-half mile in length
and would abut more than 10 lots or premises
There were twenty-four(24) individuals present in the audience on this matter
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 33 p m , Monday, September 24, 2001
