MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING(S) RE
4mio Petition 01-01-01-01, submitted by Adele Avolio
Petition 01-04-01-04, submitted by Hurley Homes, Inc
Petition 01-03-06-02, Petition 01-03-06-03, and Petition 01-03-06-04,
submitted by the City Planning Commission
On July 16, 2001, hearings were held on five(5) Petitions at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and said hearings were called to order by Council
President Brosnan at 7 01 p m. Present: Val Vandersloot, Jack Engebretson and
Maureen Miller Brosnan Absent: Brian Duggan, Joe Laura, John Pastor and John
Walsh
Council President Brosnan stated that this was a public hearing on the question
of whether to approve the following matters
Petition 01-01-01-01, submitted by Adele Avolio, requesting to rezone property
located on the north side of Seven Mile Road between Gary Lane and Fairlane Court in
the Southwest 1/4 of Section 4 from RUFB to R-3 There were ten (10) persons present
on this matter, which concluded at 7 28 p m
Petition 01-04-01-04, submitted by Hurley Homes, Inc. requesting to rezone
property located on the south side of Six Mile Road between Middlebelt Road and
Oporto Street in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 14 from OS to RUFA. There were three (3)
persons present on this matter, which concluded at 8 12 p m
Petition 01-03-06-02, submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to
Council Resolution 45-01, to determine whether or not to amend Section 4 02 of Article
IV of the Zoning Ordinance so as to establish various restrictions in connection with
home businesses. There was no-one present on this matter, which concluded at 8 18
p m.

Petition 01-03-06-03, submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to
Council Resolution 66-01, to determine whether or not to amend Sections 10 02 and
10 03 of Article X and Sections 11 02 and 11 03 of Article XI of the Zoning Ordinance so
as to designate drug stores and pharmacies as waiver uses There was no-one present
on this matter, which concluded at 8 35 p m
Petition 01-03-06-04, submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to
Council Resolution 78-01, to determine whether or not to amend Section 10 03 of Article
X of the Zoning Ordinance so as to add full-service restaurants as waiver uses in the C-1
zoning district. There was no-one present on this matter, which concluded at 8 39 p m
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 8 39 p m , Monday, July 16, 2001
