PUBLIC HEARING RE. REQUEST SUBMITTED BY
SAM SHAMIE, MANAGING MEMBER, SIJL DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, LLC,
FOR GST AUTOLEATHER (RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT FACILITY)
OF NEW JERSEY, PROPOSING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN INDUSTRIAL
DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE NORTHEAST
1/4 OF SECTION 27 AT 31601 INDUSTRIAL ROAD
On Monday, June 5, 2006, the above hearing was held at the City
Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
Council Vice-President Knapp at 7 07 p m Present: Don Knapp, Brian Meakin,
Terry Godfroid-Marecki, Joe Laura, Thomas Robinson, and Gerald Taylor
Absent: James McCann
Council Vice-President Knapp stated that this was a public hearing on the
question whether this City Council should approve the request from Sam
Shamie, Managing Member, SIJL Development Company, LLC, for GST
AutoLeather (Research and Development Facility) of New Jersey, for the
establishment of an Industrial Development District within the boundaries of the
City of Livonia in an area of approximately 2 086 acres lying in the Northeast 1/4
of Section 27 as more particularly described in the attachment to the application
which is hereby incorporated by reference and which is hereinafter referred to as
"Proposed City of Livonia Industrial Development District No 102"

matter

Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the
City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 17 p m , on Monday, June 5,
2006
