UNFINISHED BUSINESS 10. REQUEST TO WAIVE THE CITY’S NOISE ORDINANCE: Fred E. Sackllah, Festival Chair Person, The Basilica of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, re: their Third Annual Sahara Fest to be held August 19, 2010 thru August 22, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Thursday thru Saturday, and from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, at Bryant Park, 18000 Merriman Road; and to allow three (3) 4’ X 4’ signs to be placed on their property and at Bryant Park advertising the Festival. 11. PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF FANNIE MAE FORECLOSED PROPERTIES: Livonia Housing Commission, re: to acquire three (3) houses (19995 Inkster, 29524 Joy Road, and 20224 Angling) for appraisal price less a 1% discount, plus closing costs, from funds available through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). AWARD OF CONTRACT: Engineering Division, re: recommendation of Qualification-Based Selection (QBS) Firms to perform all Professional Engineering Services on various Federal, State and Locally funded roads, bridge, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, traffic signal modernization and pedestrian signal upgrades and other related projects for the remaining Fiscal year 2010 ending November 30, 2010, and through years 2011-2013. WAIVER PETITION: Planning Commission, re: Petition 2010-06-02-11 submitted by Livonia Koney, L.L.C. requesting waiver use approval to utilize a Class C liquor license (sale of beer, wine and spirits for consumption on premises) in connection with a full service restaurant located on the north side of Seven Mile Road (29530 Seven Mile Road), in the Southeast ¼ of Section 2. 14. WAIVER PETITION: Planning Commission, re: Petition 2010-04-02-09 submitted by J&M Beverages, Inc. requesting approval to utilize an SDM Liquor License (sale of packaged beer and wine) and an SDD Liquor License (sale of packaged spirits over 21% alcohol) on property located on the north side of Plymouth Road, between Stark Road and Belden Court (34730 Plymouth Road), in the Southwest ¼ of Section 28. 15. REQUEST TO APPROVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (MDOT) AND THE CITY OF LIVONIA FOR VARIOUS ROAD IMPROVEMENTS AND TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODERNIZATION ON NEWBURGH ROAD; AND REQUEST TO AUTHORIZE ORCHARD, HILTZ & McCLIMENT, INC. (OHM) TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SERVICES UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATION- BASED SELECTION FIRMS: Engineering Division, re: to resurface Newburgh Road from Laurel Park Drive North to Seven Mile Road; to install energy-efficient traffic signals at the intersection of Laurel Park Drive North and Newburgh Road; and to construct dedicated right-turn lanes from northbound Newburgh Road at Five Mile Road and from southbound Newburgh Road at Seven Mile Road, with the breakdown of costs at 81.5% Federal and 18.5% City of Livonia. 19. ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT OF EASEMENT: Department of Law, re: secured without monetary consideration from Shomon and Ancy Mathew, for a new sidewalk constructed at 31294 Pickford Avenue in the Northwest ¼ of Section 11. 20. ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT OF EASEMENT: Department of Law, re: secured without monetary consideration from J.P. Plymouth Properties, a Partnership, for an easement in connection with the development of a new storm sewer constructed at 17350 Fox Drive in the Southwest Corner of Section 7.
