Communication from the Department of Finance dated September 20, 2017, re: forwarding various financial statements of the City of Livonia for the month ending August 31, 2017. b. Communication from the Department of Finance, dated September 25, 2017, re: forwarding the Quarterly Investment Report for the City of Livonia as of August 31, 2017. CONSENT AGENDA 1. AWARD OF BID: Livonia Public Library, re: for replacement chairs for the Robert and Janet Bennett Civic Center Library, from budgeted funds. 2. REQUEST TO AUTHORIZE ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION AND EXPENDITURE: Department of Parks and Recreation, re: due to the poor soil conditions for the replacement of Ford Field lighting Fields 1-3, in the amount of $56,414.39. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE TWO (2) 2017 FORD F550 TRUCKS BUILT AS SWAP LOADERS THROUGH THE MI DEAL STATE BID PROCESS: Public Service Division, re: for the primary use of the Water and Sewer Department and also to be shared by other departments within the Department of Public Works, from budgeted funds. 4. REQUEST TO AUTHORIZE APPROPRIATION AND EXPENDITURE: Public Service Division, re: for emergency repair on pressure reducing valve near Seven Mile and Newburgh Road, from budgeted funds. 5. REQUEST TO AUTHORIZE ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION AND EXPENDITURE: Public Service Division, re: for pumps used to bypass sanitary sewer prior and during the emergency sanitary sewer repair on Ellen Street, from budgeted funds. REQUEST TO AUTHORIZE RESTORATION OF 1971 DIAMOND REO TOWING WRECKER THROUGH THE ROCHESTER HILLS COOPERATIVE BID: Public Service Division, re: for the Fleet Maintenance Section for a total cost of $47,937.50, from budgeted funds. UNFINISHED BUSINESS MEETINGS OF THE COMMITTEE 7. FINANCE, BUDGET AND TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE – Meeting of Monday, September 25, 2017 Proposed budget for the City of Livonia for the fiscal year ending November 30, 2018, and the property tax millage proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget. (CR 295-17) Public Hearing held on October 4, 2017 UNFINISHED BUSINESS 8. ROLL CALL: Proposed Amendment to the Livonia Zoning Ordinance No. 543, as amended: Petition 2016-08-01-06 submitted by TNA Enterprises, requesting to rezone the property located on the northwest corner of Seven Mile and Inkster Roads (27430 Seven Mile Road) in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 1, from C-1 (Local Business) to C-2 (General Business). First Reading was given by Councilmember Brosnan on December 5, 2016. 9. WAIVER PETITION: Planning Commission, re: Petition 2017-08-02-09 submitted by S.Y.B. Enterprises, Inc., in connection with a proposal to construct a gas station on the northwest corner of Seven Mile and Inkster Roads (27430 Seven Mile Road) in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 1. PROPOSED SPECIAL ASSESSMENT STREET LIGHTING PROJECT: Department of Assessment, re: for the Washington Park Site Condominiums, located south of Ann Arbor Road and west of Hix Road, in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 31. (Establishment Assessment Roll) Public Hearing held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 11. PROPOSED SPECIAL ASSESSMENT STREET LIGHTING PROJECT: Engineering Division, re: for the Mystic Creek Site Condominiums located east of Wayne Road and south of Curtis Road, in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 9. (To Determine Necessity) Public Hearing held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 NEW BUSINESS 12. REQUEST TO WAIVE SIDEWALK REQUIREMENT: Chris Byron, re: for the single-family home constructed at 34014 Orangelawn. 13. REQUEST APPROVAL FOR ADDITIONAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE VEBA FUND TO REDUCE THE UNFUNDED LIABILITY FOR RETIREE HEALTH CARE: Department of Finance, re: in the amount of $933,911.00 from monies reimbursed for lost personal property revenue from the Local Community Stabilization Authority. 14. REQUEST TO SCHEDULE A CLOSED COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING: Department of Law, re: for the purpose of discussing pending litigation and attorney/client privileged communications with respect to Estate of Rita Hughes, Deceased v City of Livonia.
