CONSENT AGENDA 1. REQUEST TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING FRIDAY, APRIL 29, 2016 AS ARBOR DAY IN THE CITY OF LIVONIA: Bill Craig, Tree City Committee Chairman and Douglas L. Moore, Superintendent of Public Service – Operations, re: to be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. at Grant Elementary. 2. AWARD OF BID: Department of Parks and Recreation, re: for the purchase of one (1) Toro Groundmaster 4300D-Demo golf course greens mower for Fox Creek Golf Course, from budgeted funds. 3. REQUEST TO ACCEPT REIMBURSEMENT OF A U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE 2012 JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) REIMBURSEMENT IN CONJUNCTION WITH WAYNE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY: Division of Police, re: reimbursed by the Office of Wayne County Sheriff in the amount $10,161.00. (CR 89-13) 6. AWARD OF BID: Public Service Division, re: for the replacement of the roof at the Robert and Janet Bennett Library, from budgeted funds. 7. REQUEST TO APPROVE PURCHASE: Public Service Division, re: of one (1) Progressive TD 65-2B Tri-Deck tow-behind finishing mower from sole distributor in the State of Michigan from budgeted funds. 8. REQUEST TO APPROVE PURCHASE: Public Service Division, re: of four (4) John Deere HPX Gators with utility attachments utilizing pricing obtained through the State of Michigan bid process. 9. REQUEST TO APPROVE PURCHASE: Public Service Division, re: of one (1) 4- wheel drive tractor with utility attachments utilizing pricing obtained through the State of Michigan bid process 10. REQUEST TO APPROVE PURCHASE: Public Service Division, re: of six (6) Toro Zero Turn Mowers (ZTR) – 5000 utilizing pricing obtained through the State of Michigan bid process. 12. REQUEST TO APPROVE PURCHASE: Public Service Division, re: of two (2) Toro Groundmaster 4110-D mowers utilizing pricing obtained through the State of Michigan bid process. UNFINISHED BUSINESS MEETINGS OF THE COMMITTEE 13. COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE – Meeting of February 22, 2016 Petition 2015-10-08-17, submitted by Jonna Realty Ventures, on behalf of Haggerty Marketplace, to construct a multi-tenant retail building and obtain preliminary approval for two restaurant pads on property located on the east side of Haggerty Road between Seven Mile and Eight Mile Roads (19700 and 19750 Haggerty Road) in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 6, the Council does hereby refer this item to the Committee for its s report and recommendation. ROLL CALL: Proposed Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance No. 543, as amended: Department of Law, re: Petition 2011-08-01-05 submitted by SREP Haggerty Road, L.L.C. to rezone properties located on the east side of Haggerty Road between Seven Mile and Eight Mile Roads (19700 and 19860 Haggerty Road) in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 6 from R-E (Research Engineering) to C-2 (General Business) (First Reading given by Councilmember Brian Meakin) 15. ROLL CALL: Proposed Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance No. 543, as amended: Department of Law, re: Petition 2015-12-01-11, submitted by Ajamco, Inc., to rezone property located on the west side of Middlebelt Road between Munger Avenue and Six Mile Road (16825 Middlebelt Road), in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 14 from P (Parking) to C-2 (General Business). (First Reading given by Councilmember Cathy White) 16. ROLL CALL: Proposed Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance No. 543, as amended: Department of Law, re: Petition 2016-01-01-01 submitted by the City Planning Commission, to rezone west 134.10 feet of property located on the west side of Newburgh Road between Joy Road and Ann Arbor Trail (9309 Newburgh Road), in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 31, from PL (Public Lands) to R-1 (One Family Residential – 60’ x 120’ lot). (First Reading given by Councilmember Jim Jolly) 17. AWARD OF CONTRACT: Engineering Division, re: for the 2016 Asphalt Paving Replacement Program – Contract 16A. NEW BUSINESS 18. PROPOSED INCREASE IN THE PAY SCHEDULE FOR SEASONAL LABORERS: Civil Service Department, re: for the period 2016 through 2018. 19. ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT OF EASEMENT: Department of Law, re: secured without monetary consideration, from Kevin Eisbrenner, in connection with a new storm sewer constructed at 11101 Garden Avenue for a variable width public utility easement in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 36.
