NOTICE TO BIDDERS
FARMINGTON ROAD SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT & RELINING
CITY OF LIVONIA, MICHIGAN
CONTRACT 10-J
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Livonia, Michigan as owner until 2:00 P.M.on
Tuesday,April 13, 2010, at the Livonia City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan,at
which time said proposals will be opened and publicly read.
The City of Livonia seeks proposals for the following:
The construction of approximately 1,310 lineal feet of 12 and 15-inch sanitary
sewerABStrusspipeusing theopencuttrenchmethod,105 lineal feet of 24-
inchsteelcasingpipewith 12-inch sanitary sewer ABStrusspipeusing the
jack and boremethod pipe installation and 560 feetof 15-inchcured-in-place
pipe (CIPP) liner, service connections, concrete removal and replacement,
restorationand related items of work in the City of Livonia.
Proposals, contract forms, plans and specifications under which the work will be done
may be obtained, starting, Monday, March 29, 2010, at the Office of the City Engineer,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan.ANON-REFUNDABLE CHECK in the
amount of Forty Dollars ($40.00) will be required for each set of bidding documents
obtained.
Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check in the amount of 5% of the total
bid, payable to the City as security for the acceptance of the contract. A bid bond in the
Michigan Standard Form, issued by an approved Surety Company, may be furnished in
lieu of a certified check.
No bidder may withdraw his proposal within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days
after the date set for opening thereof. The City reserves the right to reject any bid or all
bids and waive irregularities in bids.
ADDRESS ALL BIDS TO THE CITY CLERK IN A SEALED ENVELOPE WHICH
CLEARLY STATES THE NATURE OF THE BID.
