REHABILITATION PROGRAM
CITY OF LIVONIA, MICHIGAN
Sealed proposals for the 2007 Livonia Asphalt Pavement Repair Program, Contract 07-K,
AsphaltPreventative Maintenance / Rehabilitation Program, will be received at Livonia City
Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia MI 48154. Sealed proposals will be received until 2:00
PM., EST, on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and
read aloud.
The City of Livonia seeks proposals for the following:
·MicrosurfacingofClarita, Floral, Foch, Goff, Lathers, Margareta, Pershing,
Pickford and Ventura Ct.Streets
·Preventative Maintenance of Clarita, Gillman, Hathaway, Lathers, Pershing,
Six Mile Service Drive, Edington, Vacriand Myron and FrancavillaStreets
·Rehabilitation of Bobrich, Brookview, Francavilla, Griffen Ct, McNamara,
Northgate, Schoolcraft (westbound), Vacri, Vargo, Whitby, and Myron Streets
Work includes removing the existing pavement surface, repairs to pavementcracks, curbs, and
base,placing asphalt surface, minor drainage improvements as needed, driveway restoration,
surface restoration and maintaining traffic.
The approximate quantities for the major items of work for this project area as follows:
Cold Milling HMA Surface72,800 Syd
HMA, 1800T5,350 Ton
HMA, 1800L3,550 Ton
HMA, 1800W2,300 Ton
Geosynthetic Fabric Interlayer30,970 Syd
Micro-Surface Single Cse40,490 Syd
Proposals, contract forms, plans and bid specifications under which the work will be done may
be obtained, startingMonday, February 26, 2007, from the Office of the City Engineer,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia MI 48154. Prospective bidder’s phone number, facsimile
number, street address, and the name of the individual or firm to whom addenda, if any, can be
directed are required. A non-refundable fee of $35.00 is required for the Contract Bid
Documents or a non-refundable fee of $40.00 is required, if mailed.

Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid,
payable to the City of Livonia as security for the acceptance of this contract. A bid bond in the
Michigan Standard Form, issued by an approved Surety Company, may be furnished in lieu of a
certified check.
All bids shall be opened publicly at the date and time specified. Each bid shall be recorded
together with the name of the bidder. Bids shall be in accordance with the requirements of this
notice in order to be deemed “responsive”.
Bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope, plainly marked“BID–2007 LIVONIA
ASPHALT PAVEMENT REPAIR PROGRAM,CONTRACT 07-K,ASHPALT
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE / REHABILITATION PROGRAM” and received by
the City Clerk on or before the time and date given above.
No bidder may withdraw his proposal within 120 calendar days after the date set for opening
thereof. The right to accept any bid, to reject any or all proposals and to waive defects in
proposals is reserved by the City of Livonia. Portions of this Contract may be deleted due to
unforeseen circumstances without compensation.
