NOTICE TO BIDDERS
SEVEN MILE ROAD WATERMAIN RELOCATIONS
FROM FARMINGTON TO MIDDLEBELT
CITY OF LIVONIA, MICHIGAN
CONTRACT 06-N
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Livonia, Michigan as owner
until 2:00 P.M. on May 9, 2006, at the Livonia City Hall, 33000 Civic Center
Drive, Livonia, Michigan, at which time said proposals will be opened and
publicly read.
The City of Livonia seeks proposals for the following:
The construction of approximately 190 I.f. of 12" CL 54 Ductile Iron Water
Main, 212 I.f. of 8" CL 54 Ductile Water Main and 63 I.f. of 6" CL 54 Ductile
Water Main. The project also includes two (2) water main bores and other
related items of work. The proposed work is within the Seven Mile Road
right-of-way from Farmington to Middlebelt Road, in the south 1/2 of Section 2
and 3, and the North 1/2 of Section 10, and 11 of the City of Livonia, Wayne
County, Michigan.
Proposals, contract forms, plans and specifications under which the work will
be done may be obtained, starting April 24, 2006, at the Office of the City
Engineer, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan. A NOW
REFUNDABLE CHECK in the amount of Forty Dollars ($40.00) ($45.00 if
mailed) will be required for each set of bidding documents obtained.
Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check in the amount of
5% of the total bid, payable to the City as security for the acceptance of the
contract. A bid bond in the Michigan Standard Form, issued by an approved
Surety Company, may be furnished in lieu of a certified check.
No bidder may withdraw his proposal within sixty (60) calendar days after
the date set for opening thereof. The City reserves the right to reject any bid
or all bids and waive irregularities in bids.
ADDRESS ALL BIDS TO THE CITY CLERK IN A SEALED ENVELOPE
WHICH CLEARLY STATES THE NATURE OF THE BID.
