MEETING OF THE BOA,LD OF CANVASSERS OF THE
CITY OF LIVONIA
Pursuant to the provisions of Act 271 of the Public Acts of 1955, Section
870, the City Clerk, Marie W. Clark, called a meeting of the Board of Canvassers to
notify them that a petition for recount was filed by Mrs. Jane R. Henderson, candidate
for the office of Member of the Council , at the election of February 20, 1956.
President John T.Uaugherty, called the meeting to order at 8:05 P.M. Roll
was called with the following result: Present-- John T. Daugherty, David L. Jones,
Harry R. Kiiiam, RudOlf ii. Kleinert, John W. dlitehead, Nettie Carey and 4ilson W.
Edgar, Absent-- None.
By Councilman Kleinert, seconded by Councilman Whitehead and unanimously
adopted, it was
RE0UEVED that, the following persons are hereby Tpointed to
serve on a board of recount to function at the recount of votes, pursuant
to tne petition of Mrs. Jane R. Henderson, which petition was filed with
the City Clerk on Monday, l'ebruary 27, 1956:

By Councilman .leinert, seconded by Councilman Carey and unanimously
adopted, it was
RESOLVED that, the petition for a recount of votes cast for
the office of Councilman of the City of Livonia, as filed by Mrs. Jane
R. Henderson, is hereby approved and such recount shall be held on
Saturday, March 3, 1)56, beginning at 9:00 A. M.
On motion uf Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Killam and unanimously

Iftm adopted, the meeting was adjourned to Monday, March 5, 1956, at 8:00 P. M., the
time of this adjournment being 8:20 P. M., February 27, 1956.
