HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1961-07-12 SAD CARDWELL AVE Page 4881 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE PAVING OF CARDWELL AVENUE BETWEEN PLYMOUTH ROAD AND ORANGELAWN IN SECTION 36. On July 12, 1961, the above hearing was held at the City Halls 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at approximately 8:10 P. M. Present-- Sydney B. Bagnall, Rudolf R. Kleinert, William N. Ponder, Jack Salvadore and Austin T. Grant. Absent-- John T. Daugherty, and James R. McCain. The President stated that,pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 31, as amended, of the City of Livonia, entitled "An Ordinance to Provide for the Making of Public Improvements, Defraying the Expense Thereof by Special Assessment and a Special Assessment Procedure, " and likewise pursuant to a Notice of Public Hearing duly published and sent to property owners in accordance with Section 12 of said Ordinance No. 31, as amended, the City Council was opening a Public Hearing for the purpose of reviewing the assessment roll for the installation of paving on Cardwell Avenue between Plymouth Road and Orangelawn in the Northwest 1/14 of Section 36 of the City of Livonia. Questions, comments and communications by interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
