HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1965-11-15 PETITION 1965-08-01-10 Page 7555 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS On November 15, 1965, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at approximately 8:05 p. m. Present--Rudolf R. Kleinert, James R. McCann, Charles J. Pinto, Edward G. Milligan, John F. Dooley and Edward H. McNamara. Absent--Peter A. Ventura. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed changes and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City L Zoning Act. (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia held a public hearing relative to requests for various changes of zoning within the City. Petition No. 65-8-1-10, for change of zoning in Section 10 from R-3-C to PS, submitted by Stephen F. Slavik, President, Barton, Inc. , 10450 W. Nine Mile Road, Oak Park, Michigan. Questions and comments by an interested person were given due consideration by the Council. Petition No. 65-8-1-9, for change of zoning in Section 12 from RUF to P, submitted by William A. Wood, Sr., Citizens Beauty School, Inc. , 38125 West Seven Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan. There were no objectors at the public hearing rela- tive to this petition. Petition No. 65-8-1-7, for change of zoning in Section 19 from R-1 to C-2, submitted by Richard T. Gieryn for owners Henry S. Alper, Robert L. Alper, Joshua J. Stone, Donald A. Krupp, Abe Green, Aubrey H. Ettenheimer and Leonard R. Farber. Questions and comments by interested persons were given due consideration Lby the Council. Councilman Peter A. Ventura entered the public hearing at 8:45 p. m. Page 7556 Petition No. 65-8-1-6, for change of zoning in Section 21 from R-2 to R-7, submitted by Rodney C. Kropf for Harry S. Wolfe, 32398 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan. Questions and comments by interested persons were given due consideration by the Council. Petition No. 65-8-1-13, for change of zoning in Section 9 from R-3-C to C-i, submitted by David A. Goldman, Attorney for A & W Management Company. Questions and comments from an interested person were given due consideration by the Council. Petition No. 65-8-1-17, for change of zoning in Section 1 from RUF to C-2, submitted by Gary Goldberg, 19732 Osmus, Livonia, Michigan. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council. Petition No. 65-8-1-21, for change of zoning in Section 14 from RUFA to PS, submitted by Walter S. Gross, 27552 Schoolcraft, Livonia, Michigan. There were no objectors at the public hearing relative to this petition.
