HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1969-01-08 PETITION 1968-07-06-08 10113 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS On January 8, 1969, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at approximately 7:16 P. M. Present--Edward H. McNamara, Rudolf R. Kleinert, Robert E. McCann, and Robert F. Nash. Absent--Peter A. Ventura, Jerry Raymond, and Edward G. Milligan. The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.293)4), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to requests for changes in the Zoning Ordinance. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hear- ing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed changes and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. Petition 68-7-6-8 submitted by the City Planning Commission to determine whether or not to amend Section 27.04 of the Zoning Ordinance so as to include Retire- ment Housing for the elderly as a permitted use in the R-8 District Regulations (Multiple Family Res. Dist. High Rise) . Petition 68-7-6-5 submitted by the City Planning Commission to determine whether or not to amend Section 2.07 (1) of the Zoning Ordinance by adding retirement dwelling units for the elderly and setting minimum floor areas of all types of multi- family structures. Petition 68-7-6-6 submitted by the City Planning Commission to determine whether or not to amend Section 8.02 (a) pertaining to permitted uses in R-7 District Regulations (Multiple Family Res. Dist. ) by adding retirement housing for the elderly; Section 8.04 (a), (b) and (d) minimum development standards and by adding a new Section 8.07 entitled Enclosed Parking. Petition 68-7-6-7 submitted by the City Planning Commission to determine whether or not to amend Section 18.38 of the Zoning Ordinance by adding Subsection (25) so as to include group commercial centers and housing for the elderly in the off-street parking schedule. Petition 68-6-1-20 submitted by Hearthside, Inc. for a change of zoning in Section 13 from RUF (Rural Urban Farm Dist.) to P (Parking) . 10114 There was no one in the audience regarding the foregoing petitions. Comments from members of the Planning Department were recorded, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk. The public hearing was declared closed at 7:45 P.
