HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1970-04-29 PETITION 1969-11-01-41 11275 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS On April 29, 1970, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice-President of the Council at 7:08 P. M. Present: Edward G. Milligan, Jerry H. Brown, *Jerry Raymond, Robert E. McCann, and Robert E. Bennett. Absent: Robert F. Nash and Peter A. Ventura. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hear- ing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed changes and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The Vice-President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City Zoning Act, (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to requests for various changes of zoning within the City. There were six people in the audience. Petition 69-11-1-41 submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to CR#991-69 for a change of zoning in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 22 from RUF to R-3 and P. S. There were no comments regarding the above petition. Petition 69-8-1-27 submitted by Robert E. Greenstein, attorney for Dr. George and Mathilde Rovin for a change of zoning in the Northwest 1/Li of Section 12 from RUF to C-2. Councilman Milligan stated that the petitioner had requested postponement of this hearing until May 27, 1970. There was one interested person in the audience and he was agreeable to the postponement. There were no other comments regarding this petition. Petition 70-1-1-2 submitted by Frank Underhill for a change of zoning in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 2 from RUF to R-3. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk. 11276 *Councilman Raymond arrived at 7:25 P. M. Petition 70-1-6-1 submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to CR#45-70, to determine whether to amend Ordinance No. 543, to provide for an increase L in the filing fee schedule of the Zoning Board of Appeals by amending Section 21.10 thereof. Eldon Raymond spoke in behalf of the Zoning Board of Appeals. There were no comments from the audience regarding this petition. The public hearing was declared closed at 7:35 P.
