HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1971-08-23 NECESSITY VASSAR AVE 12365 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON NECESSITY OF INSTALLING PAVING ON VASSAR AVENUE, MIDDLEBELT ROAD TO PARKVILLE AVENUE On August 23, 1971, the above meeting was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice- President of the Council at 8:07 P. M. Present: Edward G. Milligan, Jerry H. Brown, Peter A. Ventura, Jerry Raymond, Robert E. McCann and Robert D. Bennett. Absent: Robert F. Nash. The Vice-President stated that pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 401, as amended, of the City of Livonia, entitled "An Ordinance to Provide for the Making of Public Improvements, defraying the Expense Thereof by Special Assessment and a Special Assessment Procedure", and likewise pursuant to a Notice of Public Hearing duly published and sent to property owners in accordance with said Ordinance No. 401, as amended, Imo the City Council is opening a public hearing for the purpose of determining the necessity of installing paving on Vassar Avenue, Middlebelt Road to Parkville Avenue. There were approximately thirty people in the audience. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk. The public hearing was declared closed at 8:18 P. M., August 23, 1971. ADDISON W. BACON, rk
