HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1971-07-26 PETITION 1971-02-01-06 12292 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS On July 26, 1971, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at 8:05 P.M. Present: Robert F. Nash, Jerry H. Brown, Peter A. Ventura, Jerry Raymond, Robert E. McCann, Robert D. Bennett, and Edward G. Milligan. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.B.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance. Petition No. 71-2-1-6 initiated by Council Resolution No. 434-69 for a change of zoning of property located on the south side of Lyndon Avenue, east of Levan Road, in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 20 from R-2 (single fam. res. dist.) to R-1 (one fam. res. dist. 60 x 120) Petition No. 71-3-1-15 submitted by Rodney Kropf for Joseph and Edna Sergi for a change of zoning of property located on the east side of Fremont Avenue, north of Joy Road in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 35, from R-1 (one fam. res. dist.) to P (Parking). Petition 71-3-6-1 submitted by Planning Commission to amend Section 2.10 of Ordinance No. 543, to include nursery schools. The public hearing was declared closed at 8:30 P.M., July 26, 1971.
