HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1972-02-14 NECESSITY WOOD POLES 12748 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON NECESSITY OF INSTALLING STREET LIGHTS USING EXISTING WOOD POLES ON DEERING AVENUE, NORTH OF JOY ROAD On February 14, 1972, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice- President of the Council at 8:10 P.M. Present: Edward Milligan, Robert E. McCann, Robert D. Bennett, Jerry H. Brown, and Jerry Raymond. Absent: Robert F. Nash and Peter A. Ventura. The Vice-President stated that pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 4O1, as amended, entitled "An Ordinance to Provide for the Making of Public Improvements, Defraying the Expense Thereof by Special Assessment and a Special Assessment Procedure," the City Council is opening a public hearing on Necessity for installing street lights using existing wood poles on Deering Avenue, North of Joy Road, City of Livonia. There were approximately thirty persons present. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
