HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1972-07-10 PETITION 1972-02-01-10 13073 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIWS ZONING PETITIONS On July 10, 1972, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice President of the Council at 9:37 P. M. Present: Edward G. Milligan, Robert E. McCann, Robert D. Bennett, Jerry Brown, and Peter A. Ventura. Absent: Robert F. Nash, and Jerry Raymond. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The Vice President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.293)4), as well as Article XXIIE of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance. Petition No. 72-2-1-10 submitted by Frederick Wilson, Penobscot Building, Detroit, Michigan, 48226 for a change of zoning of property located at the northwest corner of Westmore and Roycroft Avenues in the southwest 1/4 of Section 15, from R-1 (residential) to P (Parking). Petition No. 72-3-1-13 submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion for a change of zoning of property located on the south side of Five Mile Road, east of Levan Road, in the northeast 1/4 of Section 20, from C-1 (commercial) and R-2 (residential) to P.S. (professional service). 13074 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS Petition No. 72-2-1-9 submitted by the City Planning Commission, initiated by Council resolution No. 59-72, for a change of zoning of property located on the northeast corner of Levan and Schoolcraft Roads in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 20, from C-1 (commercial) to P.S. (professional service). Petition No. 72-3-1-14 submitted by Alvin C. Meyer for Glen Eden Lutheran Church, 35878 W. Eight Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, for a change of zoning of property located between Newburgh and Farmington Roads and between Seven and Eight Mile Roads in Section 5, from RUF-C (rural urban farms) to AG (Ganeral Agricultural). Petition No. 72-1-1-4 submitted by American Oil Company, 16025 Northland Drive, Southfield, Michigan, 48075, for a change of zoning of property located on the southwest corner of Inkster Road and Schoolcraft Road in the northeast 1/4 of Section 25, from M-1 (light manufacturing) to C-2 (commercial).
