MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS
On April 24, 1972, the above hearing was held at the City Hall,
33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
the President of the Council at 9:00 P. M. Present: Robert F. Nash,
Robert E. McCann, Robert D. Bennett, Jerry Brown, Peter A. Ventura,
and Jerry Raymond. Absent: Edward G. Milligan.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning
Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen
(15) days prior to uhe hearing date to those persons in the area affected
by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543,
the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions
set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of
1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.293)4), as well as
Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing
relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance.

Petition No. 71-12-1-71 submitted by Mr. Michael
Vorgitch, 38645 Ann Arbor Road, Livonia, Michigan 48150, for a
change of zoning of property located on the southeast corner of
Knolson and Ann Arbor Road in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 31
from C-1 (Loc. Bus. Dist.) to C-2 (Gen. Bus. Dist.).
Petition 71-11-1-70 submitted by the City Planning
Commission on its own motion to rezone certain properties located
within Sections 25 through 30 to make the zoning compatible with
the existing and/or proposed land use within the industrial
belt, for a change of zoning of
ITEM NO. 2 - Property located in the Northeast 1/4 of
Section 25 from C-2, M-1 and M-2 to P.S.
ITEM NO. 3 - Property located in the East 1/2 of the
Southeast 1/4 of Section 25 from R-1 to PL.
ITEM NO. 4 - Property located in the East 1/2 of the
Southeast 214 of Section 25 from M-1 to P.S.
ITEM NO. 5 - Property located in the Southwest 1/4
of Section 25 from C-2 to M-1.
ITEM NO. 6 - Property located in the Northwest 1/4
of Section 26 from C-1 to M-1.
ITEM NO. 7 - Property located in the Northeast 1/4
of Section 26 from C-2 to M-1.

ITEM NO. 8 - Property located in the Southwest 1/4 of Section
26 from C-2 to M-1.
ITEM NO. 9 - Property located in the Northwest 1/4 of Section

ITEM NO. 10 and 10A - Property located in the Northeast 1/4
of Section 27 from C-1 to M-2 and C-1 to C-2.
ITEM NO. 13 - Property located in the Northeast 1/4 of Section
28 and the Southeast 1/4 of Section 21, from C-2 to M-1.
ITEMS 15 AND 16 - Property located in the Southwest 1/4 of
Section 30 from RUF to C-1 and C-1 to M-1.
ITEM NO. 18 - Property located in the Southwest 1/4 of
Section 30 from C-1 to M-1.
ITEM NO. 17 AND 19 - Property located in the Southwest 1/4
of Section 30 from RUF to C-2 and C-1 to C-2.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 10:45 P. M., April 24,
1972.
