MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On January 16, 1978, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001
Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the
Council at 9 26 P M Present Robert E McCann, Jerry H Brown, Jerry
Raymond, Robert D Bennett and Robert R Bishop Absent Robert F Nash and
Peter A. Ventura.
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all
other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning
Act (M.S A Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance
Petition No 77-6-1-20 submitted by Gabriele Paciocco for a change of
zoning on property located on the north side of Curtis Road between Farmington Road
and Filmore in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 9, from R-3 to R-7 (One Family Residential
District to Multiple Family Residential District)
Petition No. 77-2-6-3 submitted by the City Planning Commission to amend
Section 17.04, Yard and Setback Requirements, of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning
Ordinance, so as to revise the setback requirements in the M-2 Zoning District
(General Manufacturing District)
Petition No 77-8-6-8, submitted by the City Planning Commission to amend
Section 18.24, Accessory Buildings, of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, so
as to provide controls on heights of detached garages and accessory buildings

Petition No 77-7-1-25, submitted by Verssie Meisner for a change of
zoning on property located on the Southeast corner of Six Mile and Merriman Roads
in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 14+, from RUF to P S (Rural Urban Farm District
to Professional Service District)
Petition No 77-8-1-29, submitted by the Polish Legion of American
Veterans for a change of zoning on property located on the southeast corner of
Eckles and Amrhein Roads in the Southwest 1/4+ of Section 30, from C-1 to C-2
(Local Business District to General Business District)
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 10 25 P M , January 16, 1978
