HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1978-08-28 NECESSITY ELMIRA AVE 17282 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON NECESSITY FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF ELMIRA AVENUE AND ORANGELAWN AVENUE IN THE NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 36 On August 28, 1978, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at 8 06 P. M. Present Robert E. McCann, Gerald D. Taylor, Jerry Raymond, Robert D. Bennett, Robert R Bishop, Peter A. Ventura. Absent--Robert F. Nash. The President stated that pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 401, as amended, entitled "An Ordinance to Provide for the Making of Public Improvements, Defraying the Expense Thereof by Special Assessment and a Special Assessment Procedure," the City Council is opening a public hearing on the necessity for the improvement of Elmira Avenue (Deering to Inskster) and Orangelawn Avenue (Clement Circle to Inkster) in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 36, T 1 S , R 9 E. , City of Livonia. There were approximately one hundred and fifty people present. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due considera- tion by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
