HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1978-04-03 PETITION 1977-10-01-36 16964 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS On April 3, 1978, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at 8 35 P M Present Robert E McCann, Robert D Bennett, Robert R. Bishop, Jerry H Brown, Robert F Nash, Jerry Raymond and Peter A Ventura Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5 2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance Petition No 77-10-1-36 submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion for a change of zoning of property located on the west side of Surrey Avenue, south of Schoolcraft Road in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 28, from M-1 to P L (Light Manufacturing to Public Lands) Petition No 77-10-1-37 submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to Council Resolution #878-77, for a change of zoning of property located on the east side of Middlebelt Road, south of Seven Mile Road in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 12, from P L to P (Public Lands to Parking) Petition No 77-10-1-39 submitted by Greenfield Construction Company for a change of zoning of property located north of Six Mile Road between Newburgh Road and the I-96275 Freeway in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 7, from R-8-II, R-5-C and R-9-III to R-9-III, R-8-II, P O and R-7 (High Rise Multiple Family Residential, One Family Residential, Housing for the Elderly to Housing for the Elderly, High Rise Multiple Family Residential, High Rise Professional Office, and Multiple Family Residential). 16965 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS (Continued) Petition No. 77-10-6-9 submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion to amend Section 18.51 (f) of Ordinance #543, the City of Livonia Zoning Ordinance, to incorporate the fees as set forth in Section 6-173 (m) of the Livonia Code of Ordinances with respect to towing and storage of motor vehicles Petition No. 77-10-1-40 submitted by Stanley and Gladys Hayes for a change of zoning of property located south of Five Mile Road between Beatrice and Middlebelt Road in the North 1/2 of Section 23, from RUFA to C-2 (Rural Urban Farms to General Business) Petition No. 77-11-1-42 submitted by Jack W Belkin for a change of zoning of property located on the north side of the I-96 Expressway between Stark Road and Stamford in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 21, from R-2 to P S (One Family Residential to Professional Service) The Public Hearing was declared closed at 10 20 P M April 3, 1978 _ _/// ADDISON W.,777, C' y Clerk
