VACATING REQUEST: Maria & Neil Martinuzzi, re: of a section of unimproved Curtis Road on the north side of their property located at 18150 Fairfield Road for the purpose of future home improvements. (Petition 2013-09-03-02) 2. REQUEST TO APPROVE QUARTERLY BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS: Department of Finance, re: for the third quarter of the 2013 Fiscal Year Budget. 3. Subject of the licensing process for Massage Apprentices and Massage Therapists for report and recommendation. (CR 35-10) b. Subject of rehabilitation rental homes for report and recommendation. (CR 171-13) c. Subject of fireworks as it relates to the new State Law for report and recommendation. (CR 297-12) d. Subject of all elected officials’ salary and compensation packages for report and recommendation. (CR 223-13) Agenda for the Regular Meeting of October 21, 2013 3 UNFINISHED BUSINESS MEETINGS OF THE COMMITTEES 10. INFRASTRUCTURE AND COMMUNITY TRANSIT COMMITTEE – Meeting of September 25, 2013. a. Subject of the Quality-Based Selection (QBS) process for future proposals relating to professional engineering consulting services. (CR 49-10) b. Subject of establishing a sidewalk waiver fund to offset the cost of future sidewalk connectivity issues. (CR 66-13) c. Subject of the I-96 Reconstruction Project for 2014. (CR 36-13) 11. COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE – Meeting of September 30, 2013 a. Subject of the tax abatement grid and guidelines referred to the Committee of the Whole for a report and recommendation. (CR 345-11) b. Subject of how Council meetings are scheduled referred to the Committee of the Whole for a report and recommendation. (CR 38-12) UNFINISHED BUSINESS 12. ROLL CALL: Proposed amendment ot the Livonia Code of Ordinances, as amended: Department of Law, re: Petition 2013-05-03-01 submitted by Farmington Property L.L.C., to determine whether or not to vacate part of an existing utility easement located on the west side of Levan Road between Amrhein Road and Commerce Street (12445 and 12319 Levan Road) in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 29. (CR 214-13 & CR 277-13) First Reading given by Councilmember McCann on October 7, 2013. 13. REQUEST TO ESTABLISH A NEW JOB CLASSIFICATION: Civil Service Department, re: to establish a new twenty (20) hour per week classification of Level 4 Appraiser in the Assessing Department, at the flat rate of $45,000 per year for all hours worked, to be reviewed again when position becomes vacant in the future. 14. REQUEST TO RESCIND COUNCIL RESOLUTION 178-13 WHICH ESTABLISHED THE LEVAN ROAD SANITARY SEWER PROJECT SAD AND TO ELECT NOT TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR SAME: Engineering Division, re: bids received for the 10-inch sanitary sewer main to service parcels located on the east side of Levan Road (15160, 15200, and 15230 Levan Road) were 2 1/2 times higher than original estimated costs making it prohibitive to proceed with construction. WAIVER PETITION: Planning Commission, re: Petition 2013-08-02-20 submitted by S & Z Restaurants, L.L.C. requesting approval to construct and operate a full service restaurant including drive-up window facilities (Culver’s) within an outlot on the site of Meijer, located on the east side of Middlebelt Road between the CSX Railroad right-of-way and Schoolcraft Road (13000 Middlebelt Road) in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 25. 16. APPLICATION FOR INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE: Bonnie Verville, Vice President – Finance/Secretary, Howard Ternes Packaging, re: for complete renovation of the warehouse and office space at their facility located at 35275 Industrial Road, Livonia, MI 48150. ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT EASEMENT: Department of Law, re: secured without monetary consideration from Infinity Acquisitions, LLC, in connection with the development of a new storm sewer and drainage area for the properties located at 20551 Gill Road and 20557 Gill Road in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 4.
