1. REQUEST TO APPROVE AND RECOGNIZE THE CLARENCEVILLE HIGH
SCHOOL HOMECOMING PARADE TO BE HELD ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10,
2014; REQUEST TO APPROVE THE PARADE ROUTE AND THE CLOSING OF
CERTAIN CITY STREETS; AND REQUEST TO DESIGNATE AND AUTHORIZE
SENIOR POLICE OFFICER MICHAEL ARAKELIAN TO SIGN THE WAYNE
COUNTY ROAD COMMISSION PERMIT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY TO CLOSE
A PORTION OF MIDDLEBELT ROAD, WITH THE CITY TO ASSUME LIABILITY
FOR ANY DAMAGE CLAIMS WHICH MAY ARISE AS A RESULT OF THE ROAD
CLOSURE: Kevin Murphy, Athletic Director, re: same.
2. AWARD OF BID: Livonia Fire & Rescue, re: for the purchase of up to fifty (50)
replacement sets of Turn-Out Gear (Structural Firefighting Protective Clothing) at
a cost of $2,121.57 each, from budgeted funds.
3. REQUEST TO APPROVE SALARY AND FRINGE BENEFIT ADJUSTMENTS
FOR THE CLASSIFICATION OF FIRE CHIEF: Civil Service Department, re: for
the period December 1, 2012 through November 30, 2015.

4. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE TWO (2) VEHICLES
UTILIZING THE STATE OF MICHIGAN CONTRACT PRICING: Department of
Community Resources, re: two (2) 2015 Ford Shuttle Vans for Community Transit
use from budgeted funds.
5. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
SMART AND THE CITY OF LIVONIA: Department of Community Resources, re:
for the Municipal Credit Contract for the period July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015, with
all Credits to be used for the Livonia Community Transit Program.
6. REQUEST TO APPROVE ALLIANCE OF ROUGE COMMUNITIES (ARC)
ANNUAL ASSESSMENT FOR 2014: Public Service Division, re: in the amount of
$29,013.00 from funds budgeted for this purpose.
7. AWARD OF CONTRACT: Engineering Division, re: for the 2014 Pavement Crack
and Joint Sealing Program – Contract 14-D.
8. REQUEST TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER TO CONTRACT 14-A WITH NAGLE
PAVING COMPANY FOR RESURFACING THE PARKING LOT AT THE LIVONIA
POLICE DEPARTMENT: Engineering Division, re: in order to improve their
existing front parking lot, from budgeted funds. (CR 100-14)
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
9. ROLL CALL: Proposed Amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 543, as amended:
Department of Law, re: Petition 2014-02-01-01, submitted by the City Planning
Commission, to rezone property located on the northeast corner of Farmington
Road and Six Mile Road (17108 Farmington Road), in the Southwest 1/4 of Section
10, from C-2 (General Business) to C-1 (Local Business).
First Reading given by Council Vice President Brian Meakin on September 3,
2014.
10. PROPOSED LOT SPLIT: Department of Assessment, re: requested by Brett
Phillips, for Tax Items No. 46-024-99-0032-000 & 46-024-99-0033-000, located on
the west side of Bethany Road, between Seven Mile Road and Northland Road,
at 19231 & 19235 Bethany Road.
11. PROPOSED REVISED SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT FOR LEVAN ROAD
SANITARY SEWER PROJECT: Engineering, re: to determine Necessity for a
public 10-inch sanitary sewer main to service parcels located on the east side of
Levan Road (15160, 15200, and 15230 Levan Road), in the Northeast 1/4 of
Section 20. (CR 448-12, CR 107-13, CR 178-13, CR 342-13, CR 190-14 and CR
236-14)

12. BLOCK PARTY: Jeff Shingler, re: to be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014,
from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., on Grandon Street, between Harrison and
Brentwood, with a rain date of September, 28, 2014.
13. REQUEST FOR NON-PROFIT DESIGNATION: Nancy Ohman, Christian Service
Coordinator, St. Colette Church, re: as required by the State of Michigan to obtain
a Charitable Gaming License to allow them to hold a raffle at their Holiday Bazaar
on Saturday, October 18, 2014.
14. REQUEST TO SCHEDULE A CLOSED COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
MEETING: Department of Law, re: for the purpose of discussing pending litigation
and attorney/client privileged communications with respect to Robert Domino, et
al. v City of Livonia.
