Onkka, President, Holy Cross Women of the ELCA, re: to advertise their fourth annual Book & Bake Sale fundraiser to be heli at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Friday and Saturday, November 16 and 17, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 2. REQUEST TO ACCEPT FY 2006 ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT AWARD IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,885.00; AND REQUEST TO AUTHORIZE APPROPRIATIONS AND EXPENDITURES NOT TO EXCEED $19,856.00 TO PURCHASE SPECIALTY FIRE EDUCATION PRODUCTS: Livonia Fire & Rescue, re: for the purchase of "Sparky's Hazard House" and "Freddie the Fire Truck", with voice modifier and vehicle water squirter, utilizing these grant monies. 3. REQUEST TO APPROVE PHASE II OF THE CARTEGRAPH SYSTEM: Public Service Division, re: which involves upgrading the current 35 CALLdirector and 21 WORKdirector licenses to the GEODATA connection and the conversion of licenses to CARTEflex licenses for an amount not to exceed $74,500.00 from budgeted funds. 4. REQUEST TO APPROVE ADVANCE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LIVONIA AND THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE RESURFACING AND REHABILITATION OF NEWBURGH ROAD BETWEEN SEVEN MILE AND EIGHT MILE ROADS WITH A PORTION OF THE FUNDING COMING FROM THE STATE LOCAL JOBS TODAY GRANT: Engineering Division, re: with the City being responsible for a payment of $978,500.00 until Federal Funds are available in 2008, after which time the Federal Highway Administration will reimburse the City $965,100.00, leaving approximately $13,400.00 (approximately 1%) of the total project cost as the City's share. SITE PLAN PETITION: Planning Commission, re: Petition 2007-08-08-14 submitted by Rocky Zebari, on behalf of Livonia Plaza, in connection with a proposal to renovate the exterior of the commercial building on property located on the east side of Middlebelt Road, between St. Martin Avenue and Bretton Road (19618 Middlebelt Road), in the Southwest % of Section 1. 6. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSE TO COUNCIL RESOLUTION 281-07: Department of Law, re: the subject of whether the City can require asphalt companies to clean up black tar left on City streets. 7. REQUEST_ FOR REFERRAL TO THE LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE FOR A REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION: Councilmember Joe Laura, re: the subject of business drive-thru speakers. UNFINISHED BUSINESS MEETINGS OF THE COMMITTEES 8. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND SCHOOLS LIAISON COMMITTEE — Meeting of September 18, 2007 a. Subject of meeting with the LPS School Board Trustees to discuss land use and the rezoning process. (CR 350-03) b. Subject of the viability of making the City of Livonia wireless to attract new businesses and young families. (CR 125-07) C. Subject of Super Bowl XL to be held in Detroit in February, 2006, and how the City of Livonia can prepare for this event. (CR 206-05) 9. STREETS ROADS AND PLATS COMMITTEE —Meeting of September 25, 2007 Subject of the Road Repair Program — Interviews with Consultants for Engineering Services for the 2008 — 2010 Livonia Road Repair Program. (CR 562-02) UNFINISHED BUSINESS 10. REQUEST TO EXTEND TOWING CONTRACT WITH LIVONIA TOWING, INC. FOR A PERIOD OF TWO (2) YEARS AND TO AMEND SECTION 10.21.240 OF THE LIVONIA CODE OF ORDINANCES, AS AMENDED: Division of Police, re: to amend the storage fee and redemption costs for impounded vehicles. REZONING PETITION: Planning Commission, re: Petition 2007-05-01-03 submitted by Ajamco Inc. requesting to rezone property located on the west side of Middlebeft Road between Six Mile Road and Munger Avenue (16825 Middlebelt Road) in the Northeast % of Section 14 from P to C-2 (Parking to General Business). Public Hearing held on September 17, 2007. 12. REQUEST TO REVOKE PERSONAL PROPERTY COMPONENT OF INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE #2000-415: Economic Development Director, re: as the original recipient, Trio Tool, is no longer in business and the Real Property Component was transferred to Alro Steel Corporation pursuant to Council Resolution 273-07. 13. APPLICATION FOR INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE: Steven L. Laten, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Alro Steel Corporation, re: to cover the purchase of property, renovations made to the existing building, and additional assets purchased to set up the property for distribution and processing of steel and other metals at their facility located at 34401 Schoolcraft Road. (Industrial Development District No. 74) Public Hearing held on September 19, 2007. 14. APPLICATION FOR INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE: William F. Hogg, Jr., President, Valassis Manufacturing Company, re: to cover the purchase of a Goss Sunday 2000 Press for their facility located at 35955 Schoolcraft Road. Hogg, Jr., President, Valassis Manufacturing Company, re: to cover the expansion of their building located at 38905 Six Mile Road for a new - consolidated data center.
