VOTING MEETING
CITY OF LIVONIA
FEBRUARY 16, 2022
Present: Betsy Calhoun, Kathie Glynn, Kelly Victor-Burke, Kristin Waterbury
Absent: Cindy Immonen, Kathy Johnson-Bartshe

Meeting called to order at 6:00 P.M.
Review of Correspondence:
Louise Rayburn has a framed photo to loan for Something Old, New, etc.
Card from the SHPO (State Historic Preservation Office) congratulating Livonia on
becoming a CLG (Certified Local Government).
Michigan Heritage Home Program
Review of Minutes:
The December 1, 2021 minutes were approved as written.:
2.1 Kelly Victor-Burke made the motion to approve, Kristin Waterbury seconded the
motion
Current Issues:
The Orson Everitt House- The owner was to come and discuss an issue regarding type
of windows. He was informed that the meeting was rescheduled but did not appear.
10010 Stark Road- A mini-split element was attached to the rear of the garage.
2.2 Kelly Victor-Burke motioned to approve a Certificate of Approval for the mini-split
heating and cooling unit to the rear of the garage. Kristin Waterbury seconded the
motion. The motion was approved unanimously.
New/Old Business:
Certificate of Approvals- Betsy has collected several approval forms from different cities.
Some are very detailed, others not so much. After some discussion it was decided that
Betsy will continue reviewing the existing types of certificates of approval.
Betsy stated that Alan Higgins will meet with the Commission and others to discuss the
Certified Local Government program.
Programs:
The Commission held a discussion of the upcoming program “Something Old, New,
Borrowed, and Blue” scheduled for April 30, May 7, and May 14. A lead coordinator will
be selected.
Updates:
Alexander Blue House roof bids were higher than expected and therefore it was decided
to go out for bids on cedar shingles for comparison.
The Bungalow roof bids will be going to Council for approval.
Bids were received for the Clarenceville Cemetery gates. Contract is awarded to
Nationwide Construction Group.
Emily is applying for a grant to purchase headstones for those buried in Union /Briggs
Cemetery that were identified last summer through ground penetrating radar who do not
have a stone.

Voting Meetings: March 2 (at the Meeting House), June 1, Sept.7
2.3 Kelly Victor-Burke moved to adjourn. Kathie Glynn seconded the motion.
Adjourned unanimously at 7:15 p.m.
